The 3/4 Messenger
Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a lovely holiday, full of rest and fun times with your families. I also hope that if you were one of the many people who came down with a virus before Christmas, that you have made a full recovery! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom again, and I wanted to give you all a bit of a sneak peak about what we'll be up to in 2025.
Language Arts
We had hoped to finish up all of our poetry portfolios before Christmas, but with almost half the class away and sick leading up to our break, we took a break to enjoy some Christmas comprehension mysteries instead. We'll jump back into a study of ballads for the first bit of January and work on writing our own story poems to add to our poetry portfolios before they're published.
Science
The start of the new year will see us dropping into a study of non-contact forces! We'll be doing some experiments and exploring how gravity affects a variety of things on our planet, as well as studying magnetic forces. Be prepared for some parachute material requests!
Social Studies
Flight 3/4 is now boarding for India! We'll be jetting off to our next destination in our journey around the world, and there are lots of kids who have been looking forward to visiting India. If you or anyone in your family has visited India and could share some stories about your experiences, we'd love to have you visit us to share them!
Math
